Well, we did it. I shouldn't go to a dealer Show n Tell. We went to one on April 13-15. My wife and I started looking at Winnebago coaches. We found a new, 2006 39K Journey that we liked. Just for kicks and grins, we asked the dealer for a price and a trade in on our 2003 Brave. He made us too good an offer. SSSoooooo, we are the proud owners of a 39K Journey, 350 HP CAT and the Allison 6 speed. We take it out to our first campout this weekend.

I'd appreciate any suggestions, hints, etc. from others with the same coach or the same drive train.

We're now Diesel drivers.

Bob, one neat feature with the Allison 6 speed is you can check your oil level while in the driver's seat and you won't have to wrestle with that ever so long dip stick, Congrats. and good luck with your new coach, Ken, '04 DSDp...

Bob:

Congratulations on your new Journey! Our's has provided many fun miles. The CAT/Allison is a sweet combination. Take your time and get to know what the rig can do. You will love the exhaust brake...it really does a great job.

We love ours. We have 24,000 miles on it now with only a small amount of repairs. Runs well in the hills and on the flat You should get 7 to 8 MPH. That is the best I have found. Seems like the same if we pull the car or not. I think for the money it is a good buy. If you have never been to the GNR in Iowa you should plan to go. Great time and learn alot. Have fun and good Luck.

Bob,

Congrats on your new coach. The 3000 Allison transmission has a 5K filter replacement service for the first service interval. Lot's of people miss this one.

Good luck!

Great rig Bob!
We love our rig. The Ally Cat is sweet. Ours just runs and runs. We are living in it full time now while we are building our new home and RV base.
