New Living Room

Finished with the new livening room what do you think? We seem to have a lot more room and the head knocker is gone. The couch reclines all the way flat so it could be used as a bed. The first photos are before.

Very nice! Have been debating doing more to mine including adding a slide or two to our currently slide less 40 foot coach on a Spartan Mountain Master chassis. Have you or anyone else ever seen it done or know anyone who has? Curious howitzer worked out. Again, very nice work on yours!

Nice. How did you bolt the couch down? I'd like to trade out my hard OEM l-shape for a lazy boy - but I'm concerned about getting it attached. And losing the storage under the cushions. Yours sure looks comfy!

Very Nice - we want to remove our dinette and do this - the wife wants to go with 2 swivel rockers with a table between but I like the couch just like yours.

A lot of people are doing this mod to make their RV's more livable. We did something similiar, and I will say it sure makes watching tv a lot more enjoyable.....even though I usually fall asleep in the recliner.

I see numerous RV Owners remodeling their living areas and while it all looks very nice, I hope they are taking into consideration leaving clear access to the "emergency" access window !
Much of the residential furniture has a higher back and it reduces the access to the window.

Looks Great, we are looking at doing the same thing...where did you find the dbl recliner? We only have 68" and having a hard time finding one with that limitation.

I've been telling my wife, our next RV has a big comfy recliner facing directly at the TV.

I like the enhanced livability. Good job.

That is a beautiful re-model. It looks so much more like home. I wish you the best of luck with it and thanks for the pics.

Happy Trails!!!!

Thanks The couch is made by Life Styles it is a little over 72" as for the cost we bought it from a family owned furniture store that was going out of business and it was part of a suit that consist of full couch and a love seat.
As far as how it bolted down, it has a frame that goes around the bottom and I was able to bolt it down to floor just as the one I took out. had been buying up things as I found them either on sell or on craigs list cost of suit (full couch and love seat) was $1,600 , fire place $65.00 and TV 42" $229.00.

Nice job.

We changed out RV couch for a Lazy Boy recliner love seat.

It is magic. Pull the wooden handle and go right to sleep (especially if you apply the DW afghan.
