When we bought our new to us Newmar last year, it had a Sleep Number mattress in it. We love it - see no need to change it out.

Our 2000 Dutch Star had the standard mattress, not very comfortable so we replaced it as I remember. When we ordered the 2002 we got the premium pillow top mattress and it was great. The present rig's mattress is great too, which is good as it's a short king with rounded corners and it would have to be custom made.

We just put a waterproof cover over the mattress since it looked and smelled new. It might have been new as we bought from a dealer located right next to the CC factory and they might have replaced it.
