New MH or Upgrade Current

Thinking of going with a newer MH, but also thinking of redoing ours. Ours currently has a lot of cabinet space and two large clothing closets. Her closet is across the rear at 94" with shelves on one end and drop down on the other. Mine is in the hall way and is 48", both have double mirrored sliding doors. One of the main things we would want is plenty of closet space and this seems to be something a lot of MH's are lacking.

So does anyone know of a MH that actually has closet space like we have or was this just a National thing. Also I have 4 large clothes drawers and she has 6. If we're going to go newer we want the same or even better. Don't want a w/d, not worth the space loss to us.

It really depends on what your goal Are for a change. We faced the same dilemma a couple of years ago. We had lived in our coach full time for 4 years and had a few items that we wanted to chance. We decided to remodel rather than trade for a newer coach. Here is what we did:

1. We replaced all existing carpet and porcelain tile front to back with Mannington Adura glue down and grout tile.
2. We replaced our Nocold 1200 with a 22 cubic foot residential frig.
3. We replaced one sofa with a custom cherry credenza with fireplace.
4. We replaced a J sofa with a true sleeper soft with air topper.

We are very happy with all our changes now that we have lived with them for a couple of years. Master Tech RV in Elkhart did the remodel for us and their workmanship and professionalism were outstanding. We stayed in our coach all but 3 nights during the process.

So to answer your question, by all means, remodel!

Its that time of year up north when few people still camp so they hold the Camper and RV shows. I went just to see whats new and realized I really like my current RV. It probably could be updated decor wise but its pretty neutral. So not really necessary since we dont live in it.
I'm sure you could find an RV with the closet space your looking for, even if you have to replace some things in place of closet space. Guess it just depends if its worth the investment. If you really like your coach and everything works a remodel although it can be expensive I doubt will come near the price of a new RV. However if your planning to sell in a few years anyway the money spent wont probably do much for the value just make it easier to sell as it will look like brand new.
Kinda like putting new windows and roof on a house. The value is based on square footage and location. Helps sell the house but does little to the value. IMO

We had the same dilemma with our rig. To reno or not to reno, that was the question.
We checked out newer and new rigs and decided to reno because we did not see anything that justified the higher cost. We had a company in Spokane do the work for us and it turned out really well. The reno made it into OUR MH and at a fraction of the cost of a new one.
