Oh, yes, they realize how much they are loosing. What this all boils down to is that the government does not have a fail safe net when it comes to motor homes/rv financing for the banks like they do for housing (VA, FannieMAE, etc). In other words, the banks have set the culture of looking for hand outs from the government when they make bad decisions. And it seems a lot of people have picked up on that same culture.

So banks caused this mind set? Perhaps you haven't followed the Community Reinvestment Act and what congress did to cause the mortgage banking problems.
