New Slideout Awning Topper Fabric

We have a 13 Diplomat with Care Free Slideout Covers. The fabric on our large slideout needs replacing. We will be in Arizona in November and are looking for a place to get a new cover that is better and stronger than the OEM Care Free fabric.

You can order Carefree Slide toppers in Sunbrella. We ordered ours from an RV Dealer in TX and they were cheaper than having them custom made at a canvas shop.

Thanks Chuck was hoping to get something made up and stronger, as the original toppers from Carefree we're not very good. The thread on the seams didn't last much more than a year.

We went with 18oz vinyl from SunPro (Arizona RV). They make them 2X as long as you need them so if/when they fail you can turn them around and use the extra material that had been hiding on the roller. Just installed them this weekend, so can't speak to longevity yet. \ken

Go to a awning, tent maker, canvas cover shop and pick out a fabric of your choice. I took my original covers off and took them in and they just duplicated their exact size and they fit perfectly.

Stone Vos! Expensive but well worth it for the quality you get!

Same here. I had to have the slide toppers replaced, then the powered big awning quit working. Not impressed with Carefree.

Send a message via Yahoo to chili's trip
CJ's RV service - Yuma. Replace mine in 2010 with upgraded fabric. Still looking good. Good luck.
