Low voltage issues at a campground. Damage can occur with that just as much with a surge.
To answer the OP's original question: I do not believe there were any surge guards on that year Fleetwood. Our prior Bounder (2006) had a rudimentary one, but it did not protect against many issues that are found at campgrounds (low voltage, open grounds, open neutrals, miswired pedestals...etc.). That's why I, & many other members here, have Progressive Industries power protectors, either portable or hard-wired.

I have figured that my generator was not producing any power I have a buddy that works for a large generator company and he walked me through via text how to clean the slip ring and brushes. I now have power and also found out that my shore power cord has to be plugged into the outlet in power cord compartment did not realize it was not hard wired into coach made me kind of feel stupid. So I can not cross feed any thing with this design. Thank you to all who replied and really love this forum

Glad you got things working. Our prior Bounder was like that, meaning the power cord had to be plugged in on the coach as well as plugged in to shore power.
Many RV's now have power cord reels that are wired into the coach & one has to only plug the free end into shore power. Something we can easily forget when trying to give advice.

My RV is a 2004 Damon Escaper. The generator is easy to start, but no electricity comes into the RV. I looked for a transfer switch or something else to operate it manually, but found nothing. Anybody has an idea how to get electricity in the RV from the generator?

2 things, look for circuit breakers on the generator start panel, out in the generator compartment. They may be off.
Second, if the shore cord is in a compartment, look for a outlet that it fits into, in that same compartment. You may not have an auto transfer switch.

Genarator works well, but no electricity to RV
Thank you Twinboat for your answer. However, I had already reset the breakers located just right the generator and I cannot easily disconnect the shore cord as it is not a plug, but a direct connection to my surge arrester. There is not any place where I can connect a shore plug in this compartment.
Does anybody see any other possibility to have my generator tranfer electricity in the RV?

Your shore cord is Already connected to your surge arrestor.
Follow the path of flow into the rv.
There is a transfer switch
Find it.
Confirm that it works properly.
In my opinion
I would unplug the cable at the sourse of
Dock, shore or campground power before diagnostics
Good luck

You need to confirm that the generator is producing 120 volts. If not, it will not power the transfer switch to switch over.

We burned a wire from our generator to the transfer switch. It was a newbie mistake in our first Class C.
After pulling into a Walmart, I ran inside to buy a few things. My wife and daughters stayed behind to eat. My wife turned on the generator promptly blasting the A/C and turning on the microwave. The fridge was also set to Auto so I'm not sure if that too had an immediate draw. In our case, there was a noticeable burning smell.
The transfer switch was fine, as was the generator. My RV mechanic found the burned wire under the sofa. (the generator was underneath the sofa - outside of course). All things considered, the cost to repair was reasonable ~$250-300 I believe. Being new to RV'ing and not the most comfortable with electricity, I was limited in my troubleshooting.
My neighbor now owns that coach and it's been fine 2 years later.
Not sure if this helps. Good luck with finding the issue!

Thank you EJW. It may be something like that of course. Tomorrow we'll be going home and I'll go the the repair shop to check that.
