New to forum....need a little advice..

Hey everyone....new to forum
While "closing up shop" for our drive home from Florida...the bed slide on our 2006 Revolution LE went in till about a foot from closing..and stopped with a lot of grinding noise....we were able to crank it in...but only with major pushing and pulling. Question is: is this something that should only be messed with by the pros? Live near in Pittsburgh Pa....not really close to any reputable dealers/service centers. Although I am mechanically inclined...I can see the area that is making the noise...but can't figure out whats making/causing the gear to skip. another note..when I got home I put the slide out again with no problem or noise...but it did same thing on way back in...stopping short with skipping/grinding.
Thanks

Can you watch and see what's happening? Make sure nothing is in the way.

Welcome to the forum, sorry about your slide, all I know about slides is push the button it goes out push it again & hope that it comes in. If I had seen this post before you passed through NC I would have suggested you stop at Tom Johnsons in Concord, NC just a few miles out of your way on I-85 from I-77 in Charlotte. I have a lot of faith in them doing the right thing & their ability to get things repaired.

Welcome to irv2. Here is a link to your manual in case you need it. Page 4 ( preventative maintenance ) recommends a light cost of oil if the slide is making noise and also to inspect for dirt.

http://support.powergearus.com/techdocs/82-S0010-01.pdf

Hope this helps.
If it doesn't , Power Gear is very accessible via email , their address is info@powergearus.com .

Nothing is in the way...
when watching the progress of slide with bed lifted up....it seems like the center roller is moving slightly off center towards the end when it has problem...if that makes any sense.
