New to the RV'ing world

First time on here, not sure where this will be going. Question I have is, can a tire dealer sell new unused tires for a motorhome that are 10 years old? Thank you

Sure not much different than a 10 year old car your looking for tires, unless you have tires that are extremely rare you should not have problems finding tires. What size we're you looking for?

I think his questions is: "Is it okay for tire dealer to sell me tires that have a date code from 2008 and calling them new tires?"

If my understanding of his question is correct, my answer would be: "Find another tire dealer, it's not alright for them to be selling you 10 tear old tires and calling them new."

Those tires are by most definitions worthless. Even the tire manufacturers will tell you this.

I think he is saying tires that are 10 years old, not the MH.

I don't know of any laws. Some tire manufacturers limit how old of tires that can be sold.

Move on to another tire store.

manwithtools beat me to it.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I don't guess there's a law against it, but I wouldn't have too much confidence in that dealer!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

It may be unethical to do so, but it's not illegal.

I was under the impression that drivers of big rigs could be issued a ticket if there tires were more then 10 years old but I donít know if it is for sure.

Welcome. I am not sure of the legality but certainly are useless if the date of manufacture is basically over 6-7 years old. Regardless of wear you should replace your tires after 7 years of so.
