Ditto on RVTrader.com. For example...a search of $50K and <40 feet and <50K miles returns 98 coaches across the country including some private 1-owner and garaged listings. This would be a great place to start a search within your budget to see styles, floor plans, and what's available. Have fun and do lots and lots of research.

I would suggest setting aside 10k, to handle repairs after your purchase, used diesel pushers can be expensive to maintain..

Make a pre buy checklist, with tires and batteries at the top.

There are units out there.

You will find a coach out there. In that price range though you might have to do a LOT of looking over a LONG period of time.

Inspect everything!
Engine, belts, hoses, fluids,
Operation of slides, roof, all the shrouds, heat, cold, plumbing, electrical, gen set, take along a good flashlight, get underneith the coach and again look at everything, from bags to zerks, look for rust anywhere, inspect awnings and slide toppers, it takes time but you will gather a lot of information on how the coach was cared for regardless what you are told.

Are maintenance records with it? From everything that was replaced, repaired?

The web sites previously mentioned are all very good ones to aid you on your hunt. Good luck, James

The converter should use 120 volt ac power and have an output of 12 volts dc. Look for a breaker that is turned off that feeds the converter, breaker or fuse on the dc output, fuse on main battery cable blown, and converter may just need to be replaced. Hopefully, you have a meter to check these items.
Where is the converter usually mounted?

Axle limits

Hi, My issue after purchasing a used 2011 Tiffin Allegro RED 36 QSA was the rear axle limit of 17,500#--even prior to packing for a six month trip I was within 400#. So, a call to Tiffin and a visit to their recommended provider, Red Bay Diesel, allowed an increase to 19,000# by upgrades to the Parking Brake and Shocks (I could have increased to 20,000# but inadvertently chose a brand of shocks which Tiffin did not have data for--beware of this type of issue.). If I were to purchase again, I would insist on a coach weighing prior to purchase to avoid this issue. Good luck.

Yep, set up alerts to email you for several different models within 200miles of your location on both RVtrader and ebay. And prepare to drive quick. I got a screamin deal on my Scepter that way.
