Newbie Question Of The Day...The RV park were staying at only has 30 amp service. We have a 50 amp RV. What are the implications, if any? How do you work around the limitations? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

You'll need a 30 to 50 amp adapter and cannot run everything at once, get to know how many amps your appliances draw. some MH have an energy management system that can be set to shed things to keep in the amp range.

On 30amps I can run any two of these at once but not all three, 1 A/C, microwave, hot water during a heating cycle.

I have a Progressive EMS surge system that displays how many amps I'm pulling.

They make an adaptor to plug in to 30 amp service. You will be limited to 30 amps overall, instead of the 50 X 2 that 50 amp supplies.

1 AC at a time, maybe flip off the AC, when microwaving.

If you have a inverter/charger that can be adjusted for lower AC amp input, you may need to set that to 5 ot 10 amps.

If your fridge and hot water can run on gas, that will save some amps too.

Be conservative and you will be fine.
