Newbie Question - where do I place the stabilizer jacks?
My hubby and I have a new-to-us 1995 30' Thor Manor on a Ford Chassis. It does not have the automatic levelers or stabilizers that the newer ones do. We have 4 scissor jacks for stabilizing and we have placed these front and back on the main girders that run either side from front to back. We have also put large 2ft by 2ft pieces of board under them, but the motor home is still rocking badly when we walk or get in and out.
I would appreciate any help with this issue. 1. are the scissor jacks placed at the right points for stability in this unit? 2. Should we be putting anything under the step to brace it? 3. Is there anything else we can do that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?
Thanks everyone in advance for your help. PS. we are dry camping here in northern Alberta, Canada right now. Snow and MINUS 9 degrees celcius, but we are toasty warm in our unit.
Tara
