Newbie tip of the day...

... Don't fill the fluid reservoir for your jacks while the jacks are DOWN.

Unless you like decorating the parking pad with hydraulic fluid, later when leaving.

Still learning something new every trip

I almost did that a few years ago. Fortunately I realized what I had done before I raised the jacks. I had to go find a turkey baster to take some fluid out.
A friend of ours did the same as you. And I am sure there are many others who've done it.

Nah, I'm pretty sure that Chas A's friend and you, Vacay Wheels, are the ONLY two people in the whole world who have done that!

Just kidding. Pretty much everybody has done something that, on second thought, could have been done better the first time.

Take care,
Stu

P.S. Just not everyone will 'fess up' in a public forum.
