Newbie to this site with a newly acquired '93 holiday rambler
I am the proud new owner of a '93 Holiday Rambler! First question. The gas tank is out of it, needing to be cleaned or replaced. Any suggestions on how to clean myself, or buy a new gas tank, it has been sitting outside for at least 4 years. Then, how hard is it to install back in the rig, the floor is cut out for the sending unit, but, how hard is it to run new fuel lines? First question out of a list of many! Wanting to know if this is actually a rig to invest in before I go any further

Condition sets the value of any rig.
Only you know its condition and your current funds committed.
Invest implies seeking a profit. That is unlikely while speaking of a motor home.
So, most of us cannot give you a good answer.

It appears that, first they removed the gas tank, It looks like to be salvaged, 2nd, they have left it outside for 2 years, 3rd, they stuffed RV insulation in the openings, so who knows what that disintegrated into! So until I can get this gas tank home, not sure what it's issues are really, aside from rust. It looks "okay" from the outside, but.......

Folks that restore old cars often have to deal with rusty, leaking gas tanks. If you do a little research you can probably find the product that they use to seal the inside of the tank. You first have to eliminate the loose rust inside the tank (rocks inside with the tank suspended on a rope with a lot of movement comes to mind). After the inside is reasonably clean, a coating solution is used.
Look at Hemmings Motor News as it is probably advertised in their publication.
