Newbie with the '93 holiday rambler next question: p30 or f53

Looking at the schematics on my rambler chassis, it has a f53 chassis, with a Chevy 454, is this normal? Everything I am seeing so far is a Chevy 454 with a p30 chassis, and a ford 460 on a f53 chassis. Was this just an option of motors when this was new? Or was this motor changed?

OK - I'll bite. What makes you believe you have a 454 Chevy engine? Or for that matter, a Ford F53 chassis? Both Ford and Chevy chassis were available on your HR. Which one depended on the overall weight of the coach. The Ford had a higher capacity so usually the longer, heavier coaches got the Ford F53.

What does the steering wheel emblem say?

Nothing on the steering wheel, and I do have the keys, which the ignition key is a GM, I also have the wiring schematics, which state it is an f53 chassis, but nowhere does it state what engine it is, aside from the previous owner and the key I have, very puzzling, I don't know which way to go to look for parts

OK. Time to go old school.
Lift the doghouse and look for the distributor. If it is up towards the front of the engine you have a Ford 460. If it is at the rear of the engine, you have the Chevy 454. The chassis will match the engine. The chance that a PO switched and mismatched the engine is not likely.

Simply look at the front suspension. If it is independent with coil spring and air bag inside it's a Chevy. Solid front axle is a ford.

Was thinking my 96 Holiday Rambler Endeavor has a Ford 450 engine. Need to double check.
