The Aspire is an Entegra, not a Newmar.

Entegra 2012

Thanks sue, I don't have my info in front of me, also not sure how this all works, I love several of the floor plans. Of what I think are good motor homes. The Entegra Aspire, 2012, the Newmar Essex 4544, and I believe one called King Aire. Wondering how they handle on the road , if they are all about the same. Thank you, Vickie

Those aren't really comparable coaches. The Aspire is best compared to a Newmar Dutch Star or Mountain Aire. I think it has the same engine as the Mountain Aire, and the same chassis that the MA used to be on (before 2012). The Entegra Cornerstone is on the same chassis as the King Aire, and the features are going to be somewhere between the Essex and the King Aire, I think. I have not looked very closely at the Entegra lineup.

The Mountain Aire has a list price of $450k, more or less, depending on options. The Essex will be $650k or so, and the King Aire, about $740k. That's list price, of course, actual sale price should be significantly under that (20% or more). From a quick look at LazyDays' site, it appears that MSRP on the Aspire is in the $350k range. For comparison, the Dutch Star starts around $300k.

It's not even listed in the 2012 TL Buyer's Guide.

Dude you need to educate yourself before you lay out big bucks on a MH. Go to rv.org pay what they're asking then read ALL the material. After you think you know what specific coaches you want to look at go to oodle.com plug in what they will search all over the web and give you all the coaches you requested then they will email you updates if you check the right box. Do yourself a huge favor and educate yourself. Also if a deal sounds too good to be true it's not. It's a scam at best or a major lemon. Plan on spending some time and money traveling and inspecting your coach and make sure you do not leave until you have the title in your hand, check the VIN # too.
Good Luck

I agree with Pumper. If you are in the market for a large motorhome you need to do your homework--and I don't mean at your computer. (Unless you have $$$ to spend.)

I don't know where you are located, but I suggest that you visit 6-8 large dealarships and tour all of the major brands. Take notes and then go home and research on the internet. There are hundreds if not thousands of styles/engines/floor plans/prices to chose from. Take your time and get what you want and can afford.

Best of luck--and if you have more questions, keep posting.

In addition to the above, if you are able to go to the MFR's and tour the plants, that's where we started before we purchased our Entegra. We went to Newmar, Entegra, And American fairly close to each other in Indiana) to make our comparisons on structure as well as available floorplans and amenities and least we forget PRICE. We found that You get a lot more for your money with entegra vs. comparable models. Make a list of what you want and what you can't do without then you can narrow it down.
