Newmar Essex, Monaco Dynasty/Executive/Signature or travel supreme

well we have decided to move up in vintage and size , looking at 45's, have narrowed down to Monaco's which I have plenty of experience with, have started to look at newmars Essex's and travel supremes, looking for comments and experience, cant say enough about the Monaco 10 bag s chassis, not sure if there is anything better but willing to listen and learn.

we are looking at 2003-2006 coaches

Thanks

Moxy

Hi Moxy,
Being a Newmar owner one would expect me to have you jump on the Newmar bandwagon with a bunch of Newmar biased statements. For me, that would be "cheesy". One of Newmar's mottos is "When you know the difference". As an experienced coach owner, one needs to take a look at their web site, read and learn. Then there is Comfort Drive (CD). Watch the video. Test drive a coach with CD. Once you know the difference, additional statements from others will not be necessary. You will know what coach to purchase.

Newmar is the only coach I will consider. It is more than a Brand. As a Newmar owner one becomes part of the Newmar family. Not just a statement, but a reality.

Moxy,

I agree with your opinion of the 10 air bag tag axle Roadmaster chassis used in the Monaco high end coaches. In the same era I would also consider Country Coach, Newell, Foretravel; all high end coaches with their own equivalent proprietary chassis.

I believe there was no such thing as Comfort Drive in 2003-2006.

If you are considering Monaco then don't overlook its cousins: Holiday Rambler, Safari and Beaver.

Sounds like you are describing a Foretravel except you didn't add factory support, Foreforum members knowledge to draw upon, coaches not being orphans, and a number of fairly recent coaches available that have been continuously updated and painstakingly maintained.

When looking at Monaco's dig harder the closer in year to '08.

With the models you'll be looking at, it will be hard pressed to find much sloppy workmanship. But that was what lead to their demise.

Good luck and enjoy your search.

P.S. When looking at Essex, keep an eye out for models with the extra wood work option. It is truly beautiful craftsmanship, I believe it ran $12,000 to add to the build.

Agreed Marc, Saw this a bit back 2009 Beaver Marquis 45 Amethyst Iv | The Motorcoach Store | Bradenton Florida and loved the Coach! Especially in interior.

I don't think you will go wrong with any of the coaches you mentioned.
