Newmar grand star 2008

Anyone own one of these? Looking at a 08 with 17,000 miles and 124 hours on generator. It's on a Chevy workhorse chassis. Any info would be appreciated. How are they?

You might want to see if a moderator will move this to the Newmar owners forum here on IRV2. Think you might get more responses.

I believe you will be very pleased with the Workhorse chassis. The 8.1 Chevy is a great engine and being a 2008 model it will have the six speed Allison trans (BONUS). I have never owned a Winnebago product so can't speak to that part of the equation. Just curious, is this coach in Dansville Ny. area?

We have a 2008 Newmar Bay Star on a Ford F53. So I have no experience on the Workhorse. The house part has been great for us. Well made with no problems. We bought ours used. I was looking to get used in the 2010 to 2013 range and we looked at several different lines. Fleetwood , Winnie, Thor etc.

The 08 Newmar was head and shoulders above any of the ones we looked at. Don’t think you can go wrong on a clean priced right 08 Newmar.

Where did Winnebago come from? Grand Star was a Newmar product as the thread title says.

That Mr. D is what I call a major "brain fart". Seems it happens to me far too often lately
