Newmar leveling system

New member first post. Have had a lance camper for years and have stepped up to a 40ft newmar mountain air. My question is about the self leveling. Where I have it parked today at the dragstrip the front right jack isn't coming down. As it sits it doesn't need it as it is the low point. Is this normal or should all 4 come down to staybalize every time. Thanks

All four should come down at least until they hit the ground. When you hit the jacks button, the jack does not know that it doesn't need to come down. With it up, that side of the RV might go off level as you move around.

Don't know why yours won't go down but I've heard people say when they are down, the jacks should be sprayed with silicone every so often. Perhaps some others on the list might have an answer for you. With all the people on this forum, I'm sure someone has dealt with this problem. By the way. Welcome

Yes all 4 should come and touch the ground. Have you to manually level the Coach???

I'm not sure why it's not coming down, but as has been said it should still come down. As per the HWH website, spray the jack cylinder with WD-40. Don't use silicon. On my last Mh, the rear jacks were super slow to retract. So before retracting them, I would spray them with WD-40 and then give them a good wipe. Just like HWH says. Then they'd retract normally.
