Working on a 2014 Newmar Ventana bedroom slide motor case broke where it bolts to bracket. Any thoughts ?

Most things now days are designed to be thrown out when they go bad......
If you have to ask, then I would assume you need to trash it.
If it is pot metal, trash it. If it is plastic Trash it.
If it can be welded weld it.
Build a bracket to hold the pieces, or replace it.
Find out why it broke.
ALSO
Contact the MFG, for something to break after only a year?

2014 ? Call newmar and hope that your messing with it did not void the warranty

It really does amaze me the number of people that work on vehicles which should be under warranty. I am assuming that a 2014 newmar would be under warranty. The instant you start working on it you put the warranty service in jeopardy.

Since the 2016's are shipping, a 2014 would be more than one year old and depending on in-service date may be past the one year warranty. I would still call Newmar and ask them to take care of it.

He is 2nd owner the coach when he bought it it had 2100 miles he has put a couple of thousand miles on it as per warranty it is over a year old But! I am calling Newmar this morning, As per motor breaking it may be a bad design so I thought I would ask if anyone else has had that problem.

Those motors are rugged and durable. My guess, and that just what it is without looking at it, is that it was mounted in a bind and every time the slide was opened or closed it was putting stress on the gear housing.
The other thing that it could be is the slide itself is not square to the opening. My driver side salon slide was that way when I purchased it from the original owner. It was slow and noisy going in and out until I adjusted it at the end of the 2 racks that it rides on. It took me a couple of hours and what a difference it made. It's quiet and smooth as glass now. My money is on my first guess. That plate that the motor is bolted to is welded in and it could be tweaked just enough to put it into a bind with the driveshaft or one of the plates that the shaft rides in could be tweaked also. Anyway it needs to be checked out by someone that knows Newmar slides before a new motor is installed. BTW their not that complicated. They're one of the simplest slides out there to trouble shoot and work on.
I wouldn't just buy one and put it in. Which slide is it on?
