Nexus Maybach

Just noticed Nexus has added a gas Class A to their lineup--the 38' Maybach. Anyone seen it yet?

I looked at their website. The base price was really attractive but then I started adding the options I wanted. Soon was as much as any other comparable coach.

NOT related specifically to the "Maybach", but here is a long-running thread about the "other" Nexus product. Nexus diesel pusher

According to their website, they have established a network of independent service providers to handle their warranty work.

I expect some warranty service orders at those providers will be to replace the "Maybach" badges & emblems on early units, as I suspect Mercedes-Benz USA's legal team will be contacting Nexus presently regarding use of the Maybach name.

Seems like I remember a Nexus coach featured in Motorhome mag a couple months ago and it only had like 600 lbs capacity. Hope it wasn't this one.

Is their next RV going t be a silver spur or something? Since Bentley and maybach are taken, need to use a rolls Royce name

I have been checking their site for weeks waiting on more info on the gas class A. Interested to see what it looks like once they release pics. Yes by the time options are added it's not much different vs other coaches. I would assume one could negotiate the price similar to what we do at a dealership, 24-45% off msrp?

I was hoping nexus would have been able to use the new workhorse chassis that's also yet to be revealed

Unless MB has a "registered trademark" on the name "Maybach" there isn't anything for Nexus to worry about. It would be up to MB to defend their claim to the name, and that isn't easy even with a TM. Apparently RR has not be able to prevent Nexus from using "Bentley".

Then again, I doubt many people will confuse a large RV with a car by the same name.

Exactly. You must get a separate TM for each different category of item you want to protect, and there are many, many categories. I doubt Mercedes or RR ever thought they might need to cover the RV category internationally when they developed those models!
