Sorry the Darwin Award has been reserved , for this clown, see thumb-nail , who when the transmission went out of his tow vehicle , decided that , this was the best $$$; read that cheapest; way to get both his truck and 5er home.
Second place . and I'm trying to get the link to the U Tube video, is footage of a pick-up with canopy towing a 5er backwards, with a homemade hitch. Back of the truck is actually being lifted.

I don't think your problems are over. Those batteries may be cooked. Your charger may be overcharging them because the battery type selection on your inverter/converter is wrong. Get the battery type information off the batteries and then go to the inverter panel and program the correct battery information into it.

Good luck.

I remember old U-Haul trailers had a sign on them "Speed Limit 45". I wish this U-Haul truck had a 45 MPH limit. OMG!

You may want to check the setup on you inverter, when I program mine it has a choice for the type of battery.

Mine also has the ability to do an equalization which deliberately over charges the battery to de-sulfide it. There are a number of warnings associated with doing this.

Wow. Good laugh! I just slid down the Darwin scale for now. Thanks for the added thoughts about the inverter. I plan on taking the coach back to NTB to get the cells checked and will look to see how to see if I can change settings

Just an update here. Checked the charge on the house batteries that went dry in the fall of last year and needed to be charged. Didn't realize that full charge on a battery would help it from freezing.. Boy am I learning the hard way of RVing! I had to replace two of the batteries as they cracked so I assume they were too low, lost their charge and basically turned the acid to water and then expanded. The other two survived and I sent them to Interstate Battery which they slow charged for five full days and they are spot on. Now I have a float tester to check them periodically. Will also bring them home with me during the winter months along with the other batteries. Thanks for all the help folks!

I also have a Magnum MS2000 inverter/charger. Started with some issues lately (Fault code: FET Overload, and Fault code: Internal NTC. Flashing red light on monitor. Called Magnum, they were very good to work with. Reset the Inverter/charger, pushed and held the reset button, when it started flashing green, let go of button, then pushed it one more time. Is working great, but i am stopping by a Magnum Service Center in Gilbert, AZ for a bench test. They think a controller board is beginning to fail. Still under warranty, I hope.
