That same factory inverter has a relay that passes the 120vac shore power if you’re not using the inverter function.

That makes a lot of sense Dennis...the converter charger under the steps is just set on top of all the wiring...it's not fastened down at all. Already replaced it two months ago to regain the 12vdc lights
