no fuel to genset

I have a 97 HR vacationeer 32'. not getting fuel to 5000kw genset, can anybody help? Thanks, Harry

The typical source of this problem is deterioration of the fuel line from the main tank to the generator. With cracks in the line the gen fuel pump will not pump fuel, just air.

X2 on this question. Don't overlook this. Most gennies are set up to only be able to draw fuel down to around 1/4 tanks then they go dry.

Thanks for the advice so far. I have over half a tank. I am hoping I do not have to
replace the gen fuel pump. If so, does anyone have the procedure. Thanks, Harry

If you want to test your fuel pump and generator. Get a few feet of fuel line hose, attatch one end to the input of the fuel pump and put other end of the fuel line hose in a gas can full of gas. If your generator and fuel pump are OK it will run off the gas can. If not troubleshoot the generator and or fuel pump.

Thanks for the advice regarding gas tank and temporary fuel line, problem is looks like you have to take out the generator because gen fuel pump is on back side.

check the wires from (lack of better words) the low fuel gesmo......I washed my gen set and corroded the wire terminals.............check the wire terninals......it happened to me
