Problem solved ^^^ with this cats help, and you guys. Comunication cable from thermostat to the zone 1 unit.
Now I have to figue out how to run a new cable through the ceiling and wall.

Glad you found the problem. Is it possible to put new ends on the cable? Cables often fail at the crimped ends. You might also try to attach a new cable to the old one and pull it through. Sometimes a string is ran with the cable to make replacements easier. You don't have to use the same route as the original wire. You may have to go basement or underbelly route.
