No Hot Water
Getting settled for a nice long weekend in our brand new Itasca 40r with Atwood InstaHot and I have no hot water. When a hot water faucet is activated the unit comes on but it doesn't fire. LP is on. Any suggestions. It worked fine last week.

The "elephant in the room" questions; is there propane in the tank? Is the tank valve turned on? Have you purged the LP lines by lighting the stovetop burners? If the valve is turned off, or tank gets empty, sometimes it takes a while to restore LP into the lines.
Ya, dumb questions; but that's tripped me up a few times.

Did the hot water work when you did your inspection prior to taking possession?

Had this problem on a '93 Pace Arrow. Had to replace the control board ( about $230.00)

"Trynforpar".....Give Winnebago service or Atwood a call before it gets too late today. With something this new, often it's just a forgotten switch or a setting is wrong.

No Heat
I started by calling my dealers service department and it just amazes me how some of these dealerships stay in business with how bad their service departments are. After getting nowhere with the dealer, I called Atwood direct and they walked me through the possibilities. It turned out that a spider decided to make a home in the orifice ( little black plastic tube) and I found this out by removing it and blowing on it. The spider and nest flew out and the problem is resolved.

"Trynforpar"......Go to local store or pet shop and buy a flea collar for a dog. Cut the collar into a piece about 3"-4" long and attach it inside the water heater compartment via the outside door. It will repel spiders. Replace it once a year.

If RVers got anywhere close to decent service from dealers, they would not be coming to forums like this looking for help.
