Try holding the key in the start position while at the same time wiggle the tran shift lever in neutral-might be the neutral safety switch. Do you hear any clicking?

"Check gauges" light comes on because the engine is not running and you have no oil pressure.

The P0607 could be the issue of the no start. PCM failures are not common at all but possible. The PCM also controls the starter so if the PCM is not functioning properly, there will be no starter engagement. Definitely check power and grounds to the PCM and make sure that the PCM is at stock calibration and does not have a tuner in it. A tuner may cause this DTC, falsely set that DTC, or cause your concern.

Description of the DTC.

Almost forgot, the PCM may be covered under 8/80 emissions warranty. Many vehicles over 8500 GVW is only covered for 5/50 for emissions warranty but a check with the VIN will verify it.
