Arrow Noisy engine fan

Have an 06 Sig. 525 isx. Just started with the engine fan making alot of noise going down the road. When it's cool, of course, the fan cycles ok. But after it warms up it sounds like a jet engine. I know it's a 3 stage, but when it was on today I checked the Aladdin and the temp was only 177. Has anyone had this problem before and what did you find out. Fan switch? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum,

You may want to do some forum searches as the hydraulic fans can have any number of quirks due to various ECM, wiring, control, mechanical reasons.
Cuts into MPG too.

Be well.

If anyone might be interested. We found out the problem is the electronic thermo control. This controls the fan speed . New one from Monaco---$1200.00. Ouch!

15 Discovery 40E

Never buy from the RV mfger. Most expensive way. Go to chassis mfger. Ford, Freightliner, etc. Or get part # and Google it in and research for cheapest source. Find a local shop to install it.
Me I would put in a 3 way switch controlling fan speed.

If your thermo controll is a Sauer-Danfoss fan controller, take a look at source engineering's wax valve replacement kit. My fan controller died twice on me and I replaced it with their wax valve kit. Source Engineering Inc | Custom RV Chassis | Eugene, OR

Bingo Waco kid. Got the valve and lines and had it installed today. Still a little pricey but even with labor was still cheaper than just buying the box from Monaco. Not it works just like a regular car. Thanks ev1 for your input. Love this forum.

Since I installed mine, my temp never gets above 180, and sometimes my trans temps are so low I get a code that says its to low to check, still I'm in acceptable temp ranges.....Bruce

I don't have a motorhome, however on my Duramax/ Allison it sounds like a turbine when it in the cooling cycle. My Allison will also limit my shifting to the next gear until temperature drop s. The continued cycling could indicate a fan clutch slipping issue which I have had fixed.
