Noisy Kwikee step

Our coach has developed a bad habit; the step extends and retracts as it is supposed to, but makes an awful sound for 2-3 seconds after moving. It sounds like a buzzing/gear stripping racket and happens going in or out.

I have lubed the step and as I said before, it operates fine, but the motor sounds like it's trying to keep going.

Do I need a new control unit?

I believe they have plastic gears in them. That is probably what you are hearing.

I found this website to give some insite to how the operate.
