If your Norcold is mounted like mine was in my old Itasca, there are two large carriage bolts on either side way back in the lower corners of the cavity. They were kind of hard to see and get to, but once they were removed, it came out easily. I think it took a 9/16" socket to loosen them. Also, there are about 8 screws in the front top and bottom under the trim pieces if you haven't already removed them.

When they installed mine, the front must of had 2 or 3 tubes of silicone on the front side of Not-So-Cold junk. They had to use knives to cut the seal.

I had all the fasteners removed. It was just stuck for the first couple inches. Out on the ground now, might make it into a tool cabinet in the shed next. 2 week wait for the Samsung RF18HNBSR.

I have a RF18 sitting in my garage now waiting to go in my coach this fall when temps cool off. I'm going to miss having it there for my beer.
I've read that the electronic 'wart' can be moved from the top to the rear of the fridge cabinet, which I hope is true. Otherwise she ain't going to fit without some woodwork. Still wondering too on how to secure the doors...
Note as well, that the RF18, like many refrigerators and freezers unfortunately use the metal shell of cabinet to act as the condenser, so airflow must be maintained for proper operation. The Freon lines also go though the perimeter of the door openings to reduce condensation, so you can't just drill in there willy-nilly for some sort of door retaining system.

That is American ingenuity if I ever saw it! And I love the deliberate, unstoppable, machismo symbolism, too! It's kinduv how I imagine Larry the Cable Guy would approach the problem. LOL! \ken

Cool story, but please tell us you are joking.
Beyond causing coach fires and not cooling the contents, as in perishable food items, the 1200 series is stellar at looking like a refrigerator/freezer.
