Now looking at a 1995 vectra

Now, you all know what it was like buying your first Moho.
We (Tammy and I) are going through it now!!!
We've been of two differant opinions: a newer gaser VS an older DP.
Well we have been shopping and found a decent DP.
A 1995 solid HR Vectra. Has anyone had one of these old girls. It seems in good shape inside and out. I'm told the Cummings with the Allison gear box(160,000 km's), basement air, allumium covered awnings(4), new tires(late 2011), and everything dry underneath.
I've learned alot hanging around here and it seems like a good coach. I know my information is vague but the details are a small piece of the puzzle.
If my research on this unit turns out positive and i decide on it, it will go to my mechanic to get checked out.
Is this old girl following up?

Thanks Roscoe & Tammy

Let me start with this disclaimer..... I am no expert on DP pusher motorhomes.
We bought a 1995 Vectra 35RQ last summer and just returned from a six week jaunt to AZ and back. I will give you some likes and dislikes.

1. 10 MPG
2. Seems like it is built with quality in mind.
3. Lots of documentation available.
4. All systems work even though they are 18 yrs old.
5. Easy to work on.

1. Slow going up mountain passes.
2. Requires a considerable amount of concentration when driving in high winds.

Hope this helps,

The Vectra is forgotten!!

Tammy and I purchased a 1997 GeorgieBoy

Thanks for all the help. I'm sure there will be questions about the new ride.
