Just got home from Perry, GA FMCA Rally and it was great to meet other Overland owners The downside was my hubby and I both came down with a horrible cold and my head is still plugged up! We would love to know of any other Rallys that Overland owners plan on attending!

Overland Owners are few and far between these days. Not sure if any of you all are on Facebook yet but I was inspired by meeting a group of wonderful Overland Owners at the Perry Rally. So I created a group for Overland Owners, you can find it here https://www.facebook.com/groups/537718293011161/ and while you are there friend my hubby (Rick) and I.

Joined the facebook group. Thanks for setting that up.

We could not go to Perry but are going to be in Myrtle Beach for the IRV2 Rally in September. Hope to meet some Overland people there!

Ok, here is a question for you guys. We have a ceiling fan in our bedroom that hums when under inverter power but does not on shore power or generator power. Is this a cheap fan issue? An inverter issue? Is there a fix?

Engine Dianostic Connection

I have a 1998 Overland Lorado
Freightliner Chassis
3126 Cat Engine
Where is the engine dianostic connector?
I found an old style OBD-1 port under the dash but know one has a connector to fit. Cat says it would have a round connector somewhere, but I cannot find it.
Engine service light is on and need to find out what is going on!
Any ideas?

So far everyone I've talked to has a Cummins. I do know who owned a CAT powered unit at one time. He's on e the west coast, so I'll call him later and see if he may be able to help.

dianostic port

I have a 99 Overland and the only port is the one under the dash. Blanchard Cat in Florence S.C. had a connector for it and checked out my unit. I would check with another shop and see if someone else might have the right connector for your unit.

Cat Dealer found the connector in a wire bundle on top of the transmission.
Bad intake heater and wire connection.
Back Home ready to go.

I am new to the site, I don't know how I've missed it... I have a wife and a family of 4. We have traveled the US in our Overland coach and have had a blast doing it!

Welcome to iRV2, and hello to another Overland Owner.

There is also a Facebook Group for Overland Owners too.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/537718293011161/

Drop in there and join the group.

If you are ever in Central PA, stop in for a visit, we've got room for you to camp and 20 amp electric for you.
