This is pretty interesting to me because it shows an oil that's 3 years old and 12,000 miles, and is still doing it's job. Am I wrong to read that into this test?

I think one needs to get the TBN result of the existing oil to determine if it is still doing its job.

TBN indicates the ability of the oil to absorb contaminants.

That costs me an extra $10 with Blackstone Labs and the result is in my posted analysis.
