Oil and Coolant Samples

I am looking for info on problems that oil and coolant sample might have found.

How many of us have purchased a motor home with a wet sleeve diesel motor and have had engine or transmission problems with in the first to third year that a fluids test might have found?

We had a failure of our trans cooler(lines inside the radiator). Had to have the trans rebuilt as well as new radiator. We are looking for a separate cooler for the trans.

The company that worked on our unit said that even though the radiator is new and the trans lines are inside the radiator, we should add a separate cooler for the trans. Talked to the new Monaco and they agreed, but are of no help!

Yes, as a condition of purchase. I use black stone labs and they will rush it for you if you call them.

Thanks!

I had hoped to get a better response. I had a suspicion that many did not get sample and had no problems. The sample is too small to draw any conclusions, although they support my intuition.

The sample size shouldn't matter. The metals and compounds will distribute themselves. I would rather pay $25 once a year and know what is happening in my engine.
