Oil change powertech generator

I'd like to do an oil change on my Power tech generator. I've done a search and only found one small thread on the Power tech Gen oil change . I have a 2005 Kountry Star Newmar. My gen. does not pull out and all areas under neath are screwed with plates. So I know nothing about What to do. Can anyone help me out? I did find the manual on line. So I do have the part numbers I need, For fuel and oil filters. Thanks to all for your help. I have learned so much on this site.

Jerry

You shoud find an access plate at the bottom of the generator that will allow for oil drain. The access for the filters is on the right side of the generator. The panel that allows access to the filters is in a tight fit area but take your time and it will come out. Watch out for protruding screw shanks in the area between the generator and the chassis frame. On my '04 KountryStar the fill tubes are directly beneath the fuse box housing making it nearly impossible to get at the fill for the oil or the radiator water. Nice engineering!
I have to remove the center section of the front bumper to get at the generator and I suspect the '05 is the same. A pull out slide for the generator would have made this chore much less taxing. Should have bought a Dutch Star. Good luck.

Thanks Bill. Sounds like it might be easier to let the dealer do it. BUT it can't be any worse than changing oil in my 08 Liberty. They made that a night mare.. I'll look at this engineering wonder in the next couple days. Right now we are getting new slide toppers, courtesy of a hail storm a few weeks ago.

We finally got our coach back after 6 weeks. I found the access plate and both filters. Now I need to find the air filter. The oil fill tube is on the top right BUT you do need a hose and a funnel to get the oil in.
