Suppose the true question here is besides who changes the oil, how often should the oil be changed? Change by mileage or time or a combination?

I go to the Freightliner Sevice Center in Gaffney, SC once a year and have service based on their recommendation. Any problems they have the records and can't try to blame someone else for any problems that might come up. It probably cost a few bucks more but I feel it will be worth it if I have any major problems.

How long of a trip is that for you? Do you need an appointment?

pmcsurf1 - It is 650 miles from my B&S but we always like a trip to Gatlinburg anyway. This year the Thor Diesel Club Rally is in May at Myrtle Beach so it will work out great, Gaffney and on to the Rally. I have ordered a new Tuscany 44MT so it will give me a chance for them to check ride height, hub oil and what ever else it needs for 5000 mile check. It's being built now so I won't get it until late Jan. but it wont hurt to due 5000 early.

Pmsurf1, You do need an appointment. It hasn't been a problem getting one when I need it. They have 50A hookups, so you can stay free the night before and night after.
