In mine I used the TV plastic frame as a guide and made a piece of furniture covered in Vinyl matching the dash color. There is :
- A glove box (I am just finishing the closing cover)
- 2 isolated speaker boxes
- 1 electric outlet
- Behind there is an inverter and a big power amplifier for the sound system.
TV was relocated
The whole thing took 2 hours to build and install

I set them on the curb on a Sunday night and the City guys pick it up Monday AM. IDK if it was the recycling crew or the trash guys but stuff like that magically disappears on Mondays and Thursdays.

I took the TV cabinet out and had a cabinet maker fabricate a cabinet that matched the two on the sides in size and style. I installed a 39" over the dinette on the passenger side of the coach. It had a 26" LCD there anyway that was install by Newmar so there was no need for the front TV and the cabinette was a head knocker when you walked into the coach. The modifications were minimal and I did it all myself. This floor plan has theatre seating.

We replaced the old tube set with an LED Samsung 32" model. We mounted the new set on a swivel-arm wall-mount so we could access the new-found space behind it. We also ended up with a small shelf under the LED TV for the DVD player and DirectTV box. \ken

I donated one of my CRT TVs to my cleaning lady. I have four left. The problem with them is they loose picture brightness and contrast with age and so, about the only thing they are good for is viewing ball games in a dark corner of the garage while working on the motorcycle.
Because of the large power transformer, flyback and heavy glass picture tube, these old CRT TVs weigh a ton.
My 40 inch LED smart TV weighs 20 lbs and consumes only 40 watts.

Tube Tv replacement
Check out this link posted a few months ago on our solution to the Dash TV removal. Removed tv and made drawers to fit into space. Looks good and very handy storage.

I used my extra space for a refrigerator. Already had power accessible from the tv. Keeps water, drinks and snacks (fruits, veggies and sandwiches cold and easy to reach.

Top drawer is 15" wide and 9" deep the dash slopes down so the top drawer not as deep as the bottom two.
Bottom two drawers are 15" wide and 12" deep.
All drawers have door catches to prevent drawers from opening on there own when going down the road.
We love the drawers all motorhomes should come with them up front like that for easy access by pilot or copilot when on the road.Great place for sunglasses,maps, change for tolls,phone chargers,flashlight and anything else you need access to when driving.
