Older Model Rexhall Exterior Compartment Latches

I have had three of the exterior latches on my 1997 RollsAir break. Perhaps due to attempted closing while in the latched position or from fatigue of the pot-metal latch. I called Rexhall today to obtain replacements. The are obsolete and no longer stocked! They were a special order item to fit the 2-inch thick doors - the latches were produced by Southco. Southco only accepts orders from authorized distributors. The distributor must have a minimum quantity to place an order for Southco to make a batch of these special latches. I'm posting here and elsewhere to see if I can get together an order. If you have a coach that uses these Southco "C5" latches with the pushbutton and would like to order a couple for future replacement of broken ones, please send me an email to: lamoho2 at aol dot com. Thanks

I have a 97 Aerbus and would consider ordering a couple of extra latches. What is the min. order and how much are they?

You might want to give RB Machining 661-206-8465 or 661-274-1966 a call. They advertise in the Trailblazer magazine(Thousand Trails) that they rebuild Rv storage door latches.

Southco door latches

We have a 1994 Rexall Aerbus with Southco baggage door latches. We just received our order of latches from Bisco Industries after talking to Southco directly. Bisco was their recommendation. The Bisco we dealt with is located in Austin TX (512-448-4550) but the product was sent out from Bisco in Glendale Heights IL (630-523-7400). We needed 5 but there was never a mention of a minimum order. Ours are part # E3-15-15, a vise action tubular key latch and I believe about $35.00 each. Hope this information helps you in placing your order.

Thanks for the heads up on Bisco. They are one of our distributors and do list Southco on their line card. Iwould have never thought of them. Here is a link to their web site and they do have locations around the country. International Distributor of Electronic Components and Fasteners : Southco, Dzus, Molex Pin, Heyco, Thomas & Betts
