On and Off Speedometer 1998 Beaver

Speedometer is working great, then the needle starts moving between 65 down to 5 mph then goes to 0 for several miles then starts working again. When it is on 0 the Mangum system also shows 0. I would have thought that the speed control module would still feed the intellect system and if it wasn't working the Cat system would shut down.

Any help would be appreciated.

Check to find out where the speed sensor is on your engine/transmission. Mine was doing the same as you report and I found a bad connector going into the transmission. I removed and cleaned the connection and put it back and the speedometer settled down.
