On the search for used 40+ ft tag axle

We are searching for a 40+ ft tag axle. we are willing to travel to find a bargain. Looking on RVT and camping world website and eBay. What other websites have you all found helpful? What large volume dealers across the country should we look at? Any helpful hints on finding our next DP would be great! Thanks for your help!

Monaco and Country Coach built some 38'-40' tag axle coaches back in the 2000-2005 years. My wife & I full time in this coach & can report that it's a wonderful home.

Try these guys. There in Texas and have very good options and rates for financing (BofA etc)

Beware of MHSRV if you look at Consignment MHs like this one:
#C1731 - 2007 Travel Supreme Envoy 40FL14 W/4 Slides for sale in Alvarado TX

Their consignment business model includes zero cleaning, zero adjusting or otherwise, and the sales people do not divulge any defects; nor do they answer questions honestly.
The MH in the ad quoted requires about $25,000 worth of work; none of which was mentioned by the MHS rep.

IMO, a 40' tag doesn't last long and they're rare at dealers. Check CL nationwide, or RVT for private sales.

Some 40' Newmar Ventana models come with Tag Axles. Not sure what model year they started.

When you say a 40' TAG doesn't last long, I'm assuming you mean they sell quickly, not that they are unreliable

Scarce would be the better adjective. They're popular, I know, I've been searching myself. One can pop up one day & be gone or listed with a "SALE PENDING" banner draped across it the next day.

We were out looking at new coaches the other day (dangerous business) and looks at an 39' Allegro Bus. Can't recal the model, but it was really, really nice and seemed to have everything both us wanted inside and out (450hp, side radiator, TAG, genny on a slide). But when we got done looking at what was on the coach and came back for a second look I realized it wasn't a TAG. Which got me wondering if in a 40' and under that really needed to be on my "must have" list. Not trying to talk you out of anything, just saying

Might try

I've heard nothing but good reviews about their sales and service. What price range are you considering?

Good Choice! Almost bought a 2005 ForeTravel from them last year. They seemed punctual and trustworthy!

I don't believe the 40' Allegro Bus comes with tag. It is the 42' and the 45 that comes with a tag. I used to have a 2007 40' Bus.

Find a coach or two that you like and bing them, one at a time (www.bing.com). Put in the exact description...year, make and model. It will list them.
