Onan 7500 quiet diesel

Hello everyone.
I posted a while back about my Onan generator in a
2002 Winnebago Journey WKP36L. Approximately end of Feb, to mid March.
I wanted to update everyone on the fix but can't locate the thread that I posted it to and like a dummy, I have erased all the emails with the link. Rather than start a new thread, I will wait for some advice on how to locate it. I have searched every way I can think of on the site using the advanced search with no luck.
HELP!!!!!!

Well Well Well, Don't I have egg on my face.....
I did indeed post that question to another forum. I have located and responded to that one and now I will fill you in here even though my info may not be of much use to most.
My rig is a 2002 Winnebago Journey. I recently purchased it from a private owner. It had very low miles and all the bones of the machine are in pretty good shape for the shape that they are in.
Generator did not run when purchased. That played a big part in price negotiations as I knew this could be costly to repair. I am a newbie MH owner but have had RV's for many years. I must say the learning curve has been straight up.
I went through all the Onan 7500 quiet Diesel external troubleshooting scenarios from the service manual as well as some suggestions from reading on line with no luck. Played with it for a couple of weeks and finally broke down and took it to my local Cummins/Onan service center here in Amarillo, TX. After removal and dis assembly, we discovered that the injector pump had catastrophically failed. The service center said it was the first one they had ever seen do that.
Bottom line. $2000 dollars later its running like a champ.
Glad I negotiated that into the price.
My most valuable lesson here and something that might help others is that you can not check the hour meter unless the generator is running. A dishonest seller did his best to rake me over the coals. He told me the Onan had 140 hrs on it and I thought it believable since the rig only had 25,000 miles on it. Well as it turns out he is a damn liar. Onan has 1400 hrs on it. His reply was "oh i guess I left off a zero".
So we are back to the two most important words "buyer beware".
The old girl is in good shape and we are looking forward to using her. I have many more questions and hope to utilize all this forums valuable info to learn all I can. You can expect many questions from me in the near future so let me say thank you in advance. Hopefully I can contribute as well.
