Onan autostart

Does such a thing exist? I am a truck driver and tractor APUs sense low voltage, or low or high temp or pre programmed time and will start on their own. I was wondering if that could be done on our RV generators. I wonder- has it been done?

Cummins - Onan EC30 or EC30W. The EC30 may require some difficult wiring challenges. The EC30W is wireless and from all I've read and heard of is easy to install and works well. We're considering one too.

Cool deal, thanks. Looks like my old 4kw won't pose a problem. Now to get it to stay running!

I installed a EC-30w last summer. I don't worry about the dogs in the event of a power failure as much. I explained what it will do to my daughter, and she agreed it is worth the investment.

Both the Xantrex and Magnum inverter/charger systems have an optional Auto Generator Start (AGS) function that will start the generator if DC voltage goes low or an air conditioner needs power to start.

Regarding the investment. How much does it cost?
