Onan drain

Hi I’m wanting to remove oil drain plug and replace with a fumoto valve not sure of plug it’s a Kubota engine Cummins no help If metic threads need bushing to fit oil pan and valve It diesel 10000 watt

Mine is either 1/4" or 3/8" NPT. I think it's 3/8" but not positive.

According to the Fumoto website, and dennis45, the threads are either 1/4 NPT, 3/8 NPT, or 12mm - 1.75.

You can download the parts manual for your Generator at the CumminsOnan site https://parts.cummins.com/documents/..._I9_201310.pdf This link is for my Generator model 10HDCAA11506C

You need the engine serial number (not model no.) to get the correct manual. On my 10KW Onan gen, the oil drain plug uses an o-ring seal - so that rules out the NPT sizes mentioned above.

BTW - I just ordered a Fumoto drain for my coach engine (CAT C13). That should make oil changes a lot easier.

I always thought the Onan diesel generators were Kubota 3 cylinder diesel engines also. My 2004 Onan is an Isuzu 3 cylinder diesel. I found this out while researching the correct glow plugs.
