Onan Generator

Onan Generator took awhile to start, then it cut off. Won't restart. What can we try.

See the very long thread 'generator stops running', good luck.

At the risk of stating the obvious--so you have at least a quarter tank of gas (if this is a gas generator and not a diesel or propane).

Is it gas or diesel? If it uses fuel from the gas tank, is the fuel in the tank above 1/3 mark?

even if your gas gauge says 1/4 tank, it could be off, so bring it up to a half tank, also check the oil level on the gennie. my bounder's gas gauge is off and this happened to me.

Be sure to check the oil level too. It is equipped with an oil sensor that won't allow the generator run if it is low of oil. Let us know, I'm sure we can help you.
