If you are way off level, the oil sensor will detect low oil, because it is all the way at one end of the crankcase. I am trying to test for a bad board. The gen. cranks on 12 Volts. After it cranks, it has to make 12 volts to keep running. You will not hurt anything by keeping the start button down for thirty seconds are so. If you hold it down for thirty seconds and it runs, but stops as soon as you release the button, that tells us it is not getting the DC.

Then, either the control board is not getting voltage from the genset to 'latch' the circuit, or the control board is kaput. In my case, it was the control board.. Look for a 'Dino' board as a replacement.

Dinosaur Electronics Home. High quality circuit boards for RV appliances.
