Unhappy Onan genset 5.5HGJAB-1038A fault code

Onan Cummins Genset 5.5HGJAB-1038A
Fault code 32.
It initially gave fault code 41. But after several failed attempts to start it started giving fault code 32 and 41 never returned.
I changed the fuel filter, the Brush Assembly, and changed the oil as it needed it. I then attempted to start it. It would turn over it seemed for a few seconds only to die immediately. It's still giving fault code 32 which says low cranking speed. But it seems to crank fine but just dies immediately.
I'm now thinking fuel pump maybe?
Thanks for any help you can give.

What was your genset doing before the brush change? Did the genset ever work for YOU?

Can you hook a fully charged battery straight up just to eliminate low voltage/current.

If you don't have the service manual you should be able to find it here;

It had been running for about 2hrs

It was running fine for about 2hrs and I suddenly heard it die.
I changed the fuel filter in case that was it. I changed the brush assembly due to the Original fault code of 41 just in case for grins. But like I said now it's giving a different fault code of 32

What does this mean exactly? Does the genset run if you hold the start switch down? Does it actually start or just crank?

I would still hook a battery directly to the genset. With all of our DC appliances the batteries are the first place to look.

I had a similar problem with a different code. Will genset run if you trip the breaker(s)?

I was able to keep it running by tripping breakers off.

Another poster just mentioned that his 5.5K had a partially blocked muffler that was causing a shut down after it heated up. Hope it's not that .......
Well, I mean it would be nice except that they've changed out everything else already.

I'm pretty sure you should never start/stop your genset with a load. Which would be the same as shutting off the breakers. (unless the breakers, wires were bad)

I agree, however, my problem was the genset was checking for a device connected inline. I
Had disconnected my microwave, genset shut down. If you manually trip genset breakers it will run so you can troubleshoot.

It definitely starts

To answer your question as to if it is starting or just cranking it is definitely starting. It starts and I can see it start to throttle up and then as soon as it does it dies. Something is telling it to shut down I assume. I did trying tripping both 30amp breakers on the genset before starting but it still won't run. I've tried to start it with no shore power on the RV at all too.
