Onan Marquis Gold 7000

The black top portion can it be lifted off or up out of the way so you
can work on it, when it is in its bay . the bay in mine seeems large enough
to lift up .
Just can't find a way ,just do not want to break it.

It is bolted on and I doubt you have that much clearance to get it off but if you do, it can be done. Most of the time we just pull it out for repairs and re-install. It could probably be done in about as much time as you can unbolt the top with the brackets being in the way.

Most including mine has to be dropped unless it is on a sliding drawer. That's why you can access all maintenance stuff from the bottom.
