onan shuts down in 100+ temps

For the last two summers our gen will shut down in 100+ temps. As an unprepared newbie i was not aware of the fault code. We drive with one roof air on. No shutoff below 100.

We will be taking it in for service in a few days. Any suggestions on what to tell the techs to check?

Hi Bigwiz,
Be careful about telling the techs what to check. If they put your suggestions on the work order, it limits their liability if the problem is not fixed. Consider providing the problem and symptoms.

However, can you provide additional information?
hours on the run meter
Gas or Diesel
Properly maintained?
Does it restart when >100 degrees

When we went to the races this summer mine would quit when it got in the high 90's and all i did was open the comp. door and that took care of it. It ran three days stright and never shut off after that...Happy Trails.. sorry, not sure if you are talking while moving or parked....
