Onan Spec K Microquiet 4000 - no lights, won't crank over

Right off the top I will admit I'm stubborn and hate taking my MH anywhere for service - can't say I trust many mechanics other than myself.

I started my generator while in storage in January and it ran fine. Brought the MH home in May and nothing since. Both the remote switch and attached switch does nothing and there are no flashing codes. I get no fuel pump noises, etc. I've tried resetting the breaker next to the switch and have tested it - all looks fine. I've checked all connections, grounds, etc. and all of that appears to be good. The solenoid tests fine. I am able to bridge the 12V across the solenoid to get it to crank over by the starter.

My conclusion is the control board is bad - there is a good chance it got wet from the winter as the resin covering the components has a gap in it - my guess is water fried one or more components. Should I just spring for a new control board at this point or is there something else anyone could suggest?

I may be stubborn but I'm certainly willing to try any suggestions. It sure would be nice to have the generator working again.

There should be a fuse on the generator somewhere (not familiar with that particular model). My bet is that the fuse is blown. You can go on the Onan website and look at the drawings for your model. It should show you where that fuse is located. Mine has 2 fuses so yours might also have two.

so far I'm unable to find a fuse - only the breaker next to the local start/stop switch. But I will keep looking and checking. Maybe there's a fuse further up the line somewhere that's blown causing the no power condition...
