How much time will you spend in the bedroom, really? A slide there means you will have difficulty using it when the slide is closed, and with a diesel pusher means you will have a step on the stern side of the bed, like overnighting at Cracker Barrel or similar place. We deliberately decided on a floor-plan that allowed complete access to everything when the slide is closed.

Some makers integrate the storage with the slide, others do not. Something to consider.

Good points.

My current 2 slide coach upward opening compartment doors, awkward.

And the compartments under the bedroom slide are difficult to get into, so lawn chairs go there and I set them out before extending the slide. The main living slide carries the storage compartments with it. Limits size and weight capacity but easy to access.

Here is a picture of mine with the slides closed. We have plenty of room to walk front to back, used the bathroom and open the refrig and make a sandwich without opening the slides. Ours is the same floor plan as a Monaco Dynasty diamond IV with a larger engine. Hope this helps.

That appears to be fully workable and a lot better than the two we saw yesterday, we will just have to be careful in our search for a new coach.
